Firsts Ravenwood labels for fruit and vegetables in flowpack packaging of Corent

The company Corent has been packaging tomatoes on tray under stretch film for Carrefour for a long time.
Carrefour has requested a renewed packaging and labelling:
  • Flowpack instead of stretch film
  • Ravenwood “linerless” label instead of classic label
→ main reason: improved presentation and information (for the customer)

Ravenwood labels have been mainly used for meat, fish, poultry packaged on trayseal. The product always stayed under the edge of the tray.
With this project the “living” product (tomato) stands half way out of the carton tray and by consequence there is no flat surface of same product or tray heigth.
These problems have been solved and the new line runs succesfully at Corent.
